In search of a new road
A new way that will brighten my path
Looking for rays of hope
Maybe in a friendly face
A kind heart, a helping hand,
Or a sweet gesture.
The bewildered mind wonders
From there to there
No certainty of when or where?
How and who?
Maybe a miracle out of the blue
Sometimes feels very true
Or a nightmare that claws at my dreams
Nothing seem as they appear
And my heart quivers
As some dreams disappear
Yes, I count my blessings
From food, water, the sun and the rain
A kin, a friend, a touch of joy and the pain
What can bring peace to my anxious chest?
What can calm my heart to hope for the best?
